The statistic for be applied in the studies of the sport sciences and of the physical activity
Abstract
The purpose of the review was to explain the complementary statistics after the significance p. Through of the evolution for the studies of the sport sciences and of the physical activity, applying only the statistical models that use p-significance to analyze the data from the experiment is an incomplete procedure to answer the research questions. To minimize the statistical problems of p-significance in sport and physical activity studies the literature recommended the calculation of the effect size and confidence interval. Recently the "new statistic" of Cumming (2014) was organized and the graph compares the mean and 95% confidence intervals with the objective of verifying that the results of significance p show some type of error. In conclusion, the "new statistic" is easy to compare data from a scientific study. In conclusion, the "new statistic" is an easy way to compare data from a scientific study.
