Variation of the arterial pressure during the resisted exercise
Abstract
Investigate the blood pressure response and the heart rate during three sections of fifteen maximum repetitions (RM), in individuals physically actives and normotensives. Methods – The blood pressure (BP) response and the heart rate (HR) were evaluated before and after the three sections of fifteen maximum repetitions (MR) from intermittently sections to each resisted exercise. The medicine used was by the Auscultation Method with a stethoscope, a sphygmomanometer and a frequencimeter. Results and Discussions – The systolic blood pressure (SBP) have no significant alterations during the exercises but in the end a hypotensive effect occur at the pre-exercise and a diastolic blood pressure (DBP) at the pros-exercise. A DBP at the pre-exercise didn’t occur. The HR during the exercises incremented gradually. At the third exercise the pre-pros exercises values incremented but not so long a gradual decrease occur until the end of the exercises. Conclusion - Three sections of fifteen maximum repetitions (MR) didn’t show significant alterations during the exercises and have a hypotensive effect at the end of the execution of eight resisted exercises with a gradual HR decrease after doing three exercises.
