Influence of the teacher's verbal motivation, of the visual deprivation and listening to preferred music in the acute performance of muscle strength
Abstract
Strength training is an activity that has numerous benefits for the various areas. In addition, several variables are already well investigated in the literature, such as number of series, interval, number of repetitions. The other forms of performance were used to improve performance, such as: visual deprivation, motivation during exercise execution and even assisting with music during exercise, however, as influences on the strategies are not yet well elucidated. The objective of the study was to evaluate the performance of the 10RM test in the Supino Reto in different conditions, with visual deprivation (PV), with the verbal motivation of the Teacher (MP) and with musical motivation (MM). Eleven subjects (28.6 years ± 6.0 SD) of the males, with experience, participated. This content was used in 10RM in the bench press, this was used as control. Three applications with a 72h interval were randomized, one day with PV, one with a MP and another with MM. An analysis of variance (ANOVA) was performed to verify differences between the control, pre-test, with the PV, MP and MS protocols. A level of significance of 95% was established. In all PV conditions (11.4 replicates ± 1.4), MP (12.3 ± 1.3) and MM (12.2 replicates ± 1.4), a significant difference (p <0,05 To improve strength, there is no strength test, but there is no improvement of strength in each condition.
