Evaluation maximum indices VO2 of amateur volleyball athletes
Abstract
The present study was to evaluate the levels of maximal oxygen uptake of athletes from amateur volleyball Ji-Paraná/RO by testing 12 minutes and 50 meters of the test. The universe of this study consisted of 16 amateur volleyball athletes, aged 20 to 30 years, all participants were male. To achieve the objective of the study was performed 12 minutes of the test known as the Cooper test where subjects ran for 12 minutes and test speed of 50 meters. Throughthe results can be seen that when evaluated in relation to levels of VO2max participants initially had a minimum rate of 19.74 ml/kg/min and a maximum of 45.40 ml/kg/min and an average performance of 23.30 ml/kg/min. in the end assessment of cooper initially had a time of 1,388 minutes and a maximum score of 2,535 minutes, and a median of 1,548 minutes, while the speed test showed minimum score as 7.65 seconds and the maximum score of 13.87 and a median of 8.87 seconds. Conclude that the indices of the maximum volume of oxygen volleyball athletes is below average when compared to professional athletes who are physically fit, which is to show the effectiveness of regular exercise in this variable physiological and detraining evaluated by the present study.
