The influence of five weeks of strength training for the lower limb hand grip strength, in sedentary women
Abstract
The aim of this studywas to determine whether strength training lead stogains inthe lower handgrip strength (FPM) in sedentary adult women. The study included 10 women, sedentary state, and mean age 25.7 (SE 2.22). The subjects performed a training program for lower limbs lasting five weeks, were applied six different exercises. Tome a sure the force dynamometer was used a handgrip Jamar brand. The position was used as recommended by the American Society of Hand Therapists (asht) which is positioned with the individual seated with the shoulder abducted and neutrally rotated, elbow flexedto 90°, fore armand wrist in neutral position. In the circumferential values, as well as in body mass, no significant differences, however, handgrip strength increased significantly in the last three weeks of training. It is concluded that the use of handgrip streng this ecommended for control of functional outcome (chronic) condition immediately (acute) and improves the performance of athletes or physically active individuals.
