Effect cardio respiratory and hemodynamic after 12 months of physical conditioning in a group of cardiopatas
Abstract
Objective: to evaluate the cardio respiratory and hemodynamic effects in a 12-month Heart Rehabilitation training program. Sample: 8 male subjects with arterial-coronary disease aged 57 ± 14 years, who underwent three cardiopulmonary tests. Methods: The tests were accomplished in the beginning, after six months and one year after the intervention on an Imbramed ergometric mat VO2000 gas analyzer using the RAMP protocol. Physical training was regularly accomplished 3 times a week with the duration of 90 minutes. A descriptive analysis of the cardio respiratory and hemodynamic variables was conducted. Conclusions: With the constant physical exercise it may be considered that the individual who practices physical activity tends to lose weight although the loss may not be statistically significant to reduce the blood pressure and the levels of total cholesterol, thereby reducing the probability of other heart events. In conclusion, it was observed that a program of physical conditioning is beneficial for this population especially.
