The reduction in the percentage of fat in practicing women of hydrogymnastics in the period of 12 weeks
Abstract
This study has the main purpose of analyzing the percentage of body fat and its effects in hydrogymnastics for 12 weeks of practice. The sample presents 10 women between 25 and 53 years old who have been practicing the hydrogymnastics. These participants were submitted to two anthropometric measurements based on Faulkner (1968). The hydrogymnastics practice were managed for 45 minutes twice a week without any nutritional control and its intensity was moderate based on Borg (1962). According to the T student test, 9 of 10 participants presented less percentage of fat. Based on this result, we can conclude that only in the period of 12 weeks it is not sufficient to diminish the percentage of fat in a significant way, on the contrary, it is necessary to maintain a regular activity in order to reduce corporal composition.
