Efectos del porcentaje de grasa corporal en los parámetros de intensidad durante una prueba incremental basada en carreras

Resumen

El objetivo de este estudio fue evaluar la influencia del porcentaje de grasa corporal (% GC) sobre los parámetros de intensidad durante un ejercicio de carrera. Catorce sujetos masculinos (20,5 ± 1,6 años; 74,7 ± 13,3 kg; 172,1 ± 6,4 cm) se dividieron en dos grupos: Grupo 1 (% GC <12%; n = 7; 7,3 ± 4,0% GC) y Grupo 2 (% GC > 12%, n = 7, 25,6 ± 6,7% GC). Se realizó una prueba progresiva en cinta ergométrica para determinar: consumo máximo de oxígeno (VO2 máx); Velocidad máxima (Vmax); Frecuencia cardíaca máxima (FCmax); Parámetros de umbral anaeróbico (AT) e intensidad de velocidad en ∆25 (v∆25), ∆50 (v∆50) y ∆75 (v∆75). El %CC fue mayor en el Grupo 2 (p<0,001). El grupo 1 presentó valores más altos para todos los parámetros de velocidad [vVO2 máx (p=0,002); v25 (p=0,016); v50 (p=0,004); v75 (p=0,002); Vmax (p=0,002) y para VO2 max (p=0,045) en comparación con el grupo 2. Los valores más altos de %GC parecen perjudicar los parámetros de intensidad utilizados para la prescripción de ejercicios de velocidad para adultos jóvenes
