Abstract

Introduzione: Le cause della malattia renale cronica sono l'ipertensione, il diabete mellito, l'ischemia, l'infezione, l'ostruzione, le tossine e le malattie infiltrative e autoimmuni. La malattia renale cronica allo stadio terminale provoca diversi impatti negativi attribuiti alla debolezza fisica. Obiettivo: presentare i benefici della riabilitazione nei pazienti con malattia renale cronica allo stadio terminale e sistematizzare le prove che l'esercizio fisico può produrre adattamenti fisiologici, funzionali e psicologici positivi in ​​questa popolazione. Revisione della letteratura: la causa principale della debolezza fisica è l'anemia e la miopatia uremica. L'anemia migliora con l'eritropoietina e l'esercizio volontario causa adattamenti positivi nella miopatia. La pianificazione del programma di esercizi è responsabilità del fisioterapista. Conclusione: la riabilitazione si traduce in adattamenti fisiologici, funzionali e psicologici positivi e l'implementazione in Brasile è necessaria.
