I 50 articoli più citati su caffeina ed esercizio fisico: contributi per professionisti e ricercatori
Abstract
Obiettivi: identificare oggettivamente i 50 articoli più citati sull'assunzione di caffeina e l'esercizio fisico, nonché le caratteristiche che rendono questi articoli importanti per professionisti e ricercatori del settore. Materiali e metodi: i dati sono stati ottenuti da una ricerca sul Web of Science con le parole chiave "caffeina" e "esercizio". Non sono state applicate restrizioni in base alla disponibilità astratta, al tipo di studio, alla lingua e ai soggetti di ricerca umani rispetto a quelli non umani o qualsiasi tipo di limitazione temporale. Risultati: tutti gli articoli sono stati pubblicati in inglese e il numero di citazioni variava da 85 a 421 (mediana 124). Per quanto riguarda il livello di evidenza, 32 degli articoli sono stati classificati come livello II, dieci articoli erano livello I, tre articoli erano livello III e cinque articoli erano livello V evidenza. Tra i 50 articoli più citati, 35 articoli erano ricerche originali e 15 erano articoli di revisione. La maggior parte degli studi originali (28) ha esaminato l'assunzione di caffeina durante l'esercizio aerobico, altri quattro articoli sull'allenamento della forza e tre articoli sull'allenamento della potenza. Considerando gli studi di revisione, 14 hanno studiato l'assunzione di caffeina durante l'esercizio aerobico e uno durante l'allenamento della forza. I 50 articoli più citati sono stati pubblicati su 17 riviste, con il 60% degli articoli pubblicati da cinque riviste, con il Journal of Applied Physiology che ha il maggior numero di pubblicazioni. Conclusioni: presentiamo i 50 articoli più citati sulla caffeina e l'esercizio fisico per numero di citazioni. Gli studi presentati in questo articolo forniscono a insegnanti, ricercatori e studenti una serie di riferimenti classici sulla caffeina e l'esercizio fisico.
