Questionario sul benessere come strumento per monitorare lo stato di prontezza negli atleti sprint

Abstract

Abbiamo determinato gli effetti degli ultimi due giorni di rifinitura prima dei Campionati mondiali di atletica leggera utilizzando un relativo questionario di prontezza. Gli atleti 4x100 m (n=4, velocisti [età: 24,5 ± 2,5 anni; migliore prestazione nei 100 m: 10,03 ± 0,04 secondi]) hanno eseguito due sessioni di allenamento. Il questionario sul benessere è stato applicato ogni giorno e sono stati istruiti a indicare la percezione individuale della fatica e dello stress su una scala a cinque punti. Gli atleti hanno mostrato livelli di benessere più bassi il primo giorno e dopo che gli allenatori hanno regolato il volume di allenamento secondo i rapporti del questionario sul benessere, il secondo giorno gli atleti hanno riportato un miglioramento del benessere. L'uso di questionari come il Wellness Questionnaire si è rivelato un buon predittore di prontezza indicando stress e affaticamento negli atleti d'élite che hanno eseguito gli ultimi due giorni di messa a punto prima di una competizione internazionale.
